When building a website, the design and colors used are important. Equally important is the layout of the website. The website’s layout will help the visitors to navigate the pages of the website and can play a large role in how the site looks and feels.

Each layout has its own advantages and is suitable for a certain kinds of website. Sometimes themes have a selection of layouts to choose from. The one-column layout is the simplest of all layouts. This type of layout concentrates on the content that the website owner wants to showcase. It has no sidebars; therefore, there are no spaces for ads and extras that can confuse a website visitor. This layout is best used for sales pages.

The magazine layout is the most widely used layout. It generally has featured sliders and posts which can highlight stories, products, service etc with photos. A company that is selling products or services can also use this layout as a means of displaying current promotions or there best selling items.

But it is not only the theme of the website that should be taken into consideration; the layout of the website is also important in order to convey the right image. It is not good for business if the websites’ layout is a mess and visitors can’t find what they want.
